        14.       D    The author’s anecdote proves that ants communicate with each other even when they might be in no condition to give passwords, hence that is the only statement that is disproved. 

      15.       D    Since fatality here means a fetal outcome, ant the ants died after inhaling chloroform, D is the correct answer. 

     16.       B      The element of humour in the passage is whimsical, which means unusual or fanciful, thuds the correct answer is whimsy.
